Alix's Clearing story
Alix Leonard, a final-year English Literature student, has written a series of blogs about her experience of applying through Clearing, and why she chose Lancaster.
Clearing is quite a fast, straightforward process. Make a shortlist of potential courses and universities you'd like to apply to. On the day, contact universities directly. They will ask you for some information about you, and contact you with their decision.
It's important to research your shortlist options thoroughly. Check out websites, forums, Facebook, Instagram, and so on. You need to know what type of environment you'd like to study and live in - this is where you'll be spending the next three to four years!
As someone who went through this process, I can say that things really did turn out for the better. Clearing gave me a second chance at going to university, and to take a leap of faith by applying to a course I was genuinely passionate about!
